Well, another month gone. I can’t believe that it’s October already, although it doesn’t feel like it because the high here is still about 90 degrees (not exaggerating).
This was definitely a slow reading/blogging month for me, as I was adjusting to school, getting my license (16, whoop!), and planning parties. Overall, I read a measly six books. I’m definitely going to have to make up for this in October. On the bright side, now that I have a car and can drive wherever my heart desires, book-buying is no longer limited to Amazon (smirk intensifies.)
Okay, so here’s the breakdown:
Books (+links if I reviewed them)
- A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
- The Stone Bearers by Jacque Stevens
- Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
- Firstlife by Gena Showalter
- Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson
- The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
Awards/Tags
- The Versatile Blogger Award
- Three Days, Three Quotes: Day One
- Three Days, Three Quotes: Day Two
- Three Days, Three Quotes: Day Three
Haul (I don’t remember all of them but these are the most noteworthy)
- Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas (+the coloring book)
- The Longest Night by Andria Williams
- Across the Universe by Beth Revis
- The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye
- Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
- The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
- The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
I’ve also ordered Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake and Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo-they should be coming sometime soon.
So obviously, my gain/read ratio was skewed in favor of my TBR pile this month. Like I said, October will hopefully be my catch-up month… if I’m not too busy eating candy. Because, you know, HALLOWEEN!! Yay! Prepare yourselves for some spooky-type posts.
Until next time 🙂

How did you like Walk on Earth a Stranger? I was debating on whether or not to buy it.

I can see how some people may think it was slow but I actually really enjoyed it. I avoided reading it for a while because I thought the mid-west gold rush setting would be boring but it was actually quite interesting. It wasn’t mind-boggling but I was pleasantly surprised
