Hey everyone! We’re midway through summer, which means it’s time to start looking forward to the Fall book release season! There are just a ridiculous number of books that I’m really excited for–there are some huge releases and I wanted to share a couple with you.
Which new releases are you most excited for? These are just some big ones by authors that I’m familiar with, so these are just the highlights for me.
Happy Wednesday! WOW is a weekly post created by Breaking the Spine to talk about anticipated releases. This month, as well as September, have some super-awesome releases in store. I did Empire of Stormslast week, so my next most-anticipated is the sequel to the very cliffhangery novel, An Ember in the Ashes, which is A Torch Against the Night.
A struggle that I’m sure many of you have experienced is completely forgetting literally everything that happened in the first book of the series, especially when there’s a year-long hiatus until the sequel.
PROTIP: I’ve found the awesomest website ever for recaps. It’s called Book Series Recaps, and they have a ton of popular YA book summaries on there. Go check them out–its blogs like these that make the book world a better place.
Here is the recap for An Ember in the Ashes, for those of you who need it. I remember that it was well-written and that there was a very swoon-worthy guy, but that’s about it. Don’t ask me for names.
This week’s waiting on Wednesday is Empire of Storms , which is the fifth book in the Throne of Glass seriesby Sarah J Maas. Yes, I’m sure this is very unexpected for all of you. Lauren is excited for Throne of Glass?? Whaaa?? How could she even be excited for the release in one of her favorite series of all time?? This isn’t sarcasm, I swear.
Aside from the obvious exciting upcoming release (ahem, Empire of Storms),this is one of my mode anticipated releases of the year. I’ve never read anything by Kendare Blake, but I own Antigodess and I’ve heard great things about Anna Dressed in Blood. As soon as I read the blurb, I was hooked.
